Workshops and strategy sessions on navigating today's attacks on equity, focused on understanding the threats and how to defend and improve equity work.

Overview

In today’s shifting political and legal climate, democracy and equity are under sustained attack. This interactive workshop equips collective impact collaboratives with the tools, strategies, and shared understanding they need to respond with clarity and conviction. Through facilitated discussion and planning, participants will explore how these assaults are showing up both nationally and locally, and co-create actionable approaches to safeguard and reframe equity work.

Meeting Design and Facilitation

JWC has extensive experience in the design and facilitation of small and large groups meetings.  Working with a group leader or design team, JWC can help design an effective meeting of series of meetings that achieves the group’s needs including development of outcomes, agenda, group process, handout materials, content recording and meeting reports.

Program Planning, Design and Assessment

Finding the right intervention, or fine tuning an existing intervention, are among the most difficult and important pieces of work for those engaged in social justice efforts. JWC can assist clients in identifying potential interventions, designing and adapting interventions, planning for implementation, and assessing programs.

JWC can design and deliver workshops and presentations on a variety of topics from social equity to collective impact to boys and men of color.

Junious Williams has over 25 years of experience in the area of cross-sector collaboration having participated in, designed, initiated and managed a wide variety of impact (CI) and cross-sector collaborative (CSC) initiatives. JWC offers a variety of services for those engaged in CI or CSC work including research to determine the best social change method, initiative design, design of data research and data collection systems

Strategic Coaching

Those engaged in difficult social change work can often benefit from the perspectives and advice of an external partner.  JWC offers strategic coaching services that support leaders and participants in reflecting on their work, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies for improvement.  Whether for an individual leader or a small leadership group, JWC can customize a strategic coaching package to meet the client’s needs.  

IMPROVING OUTCOMES FOR Boys & Men of Color

Junious is one of the pioneers in the Boys and Men of Color movement having directed the local work of The California Endowment BMoC Initiative in Oakland and as a founding member of the California Alliance for Boys and Men of Color.  JWC offers a wide variety of services related to improving outcomes for boys and men of color including research, program development and evaluation, policy analysis and development.
